Sailing on a yacht is a unique experience that combines luxury, comfort and freedom. To ensure that your cruise is unforgettable, it is essential to follow a simple but well-structured process. At Pelagia Yachting, we’ve designed a clear four-step guide to take you from your first enquiry right through to your day at sea. Our dedicated team is here to advise you and ensure that every detail is taken care of, so that you can fully enjoy the wonders of the French Riviera. Step 1: Share your needs and define your expectations
In order to understand your requirements and give you the best possible advice on a particular model and make of boat, it is essential that you provide the following information when you contact us by answering these questions:
- What is your maximum all-inclusive budget (fuel, skipper, rental price, nautical activities, etc.)?
- What is your rental date? What would be your second optional date?
- What is the minimum and maximum size of boat you would like?
- How many people will be on board? How many adults/children (specify ages).
- Do you have a particular model in mind?
- What area would you like to sail in? What route are you interested in?
- Where will you embark and disembark?
- What time would you like the cruise to start and finish?
- Would you like to have lunch on board or in a beach restaurant?
- Would you like on-board activities such as seabobs, sublues or paddles?
- Do you have any other information to provide (allergies, seasickness, health problems, etc.)?
Step 2: Receive a selection of custom yachts
When you submit your application, be sure to include your first and last name, as well as your telephone number and email address so that we can contact you. If, however, the applicant is not the same person to pay and sign, then we recommend that this person should be the main contact to carry out the formalities. We recommend that you have a single contact to facilitate communication and booking. Once your request has been sent, the Pelagia Yachting team will contact you within 30 minutes to fill in any missing information, and also to get to know you so that we can offer you a first selection of available boats that might match your criteria.
We’ll send you all the information you need by email or what’s app, including brochures of the boats available, details of fares, itineraries, options available on board and, last but not least, as many photos as possible. We explain each proposal clearly to avoid confusion and save you time.
Step 3: Finalise your booking with ease
When you like a boat and want to confirm the booking, we need to receive some information from the principal CLIENT. In order to organise the contracts, the person making the booking must send us their identity card or passport, the postal address of their main place of residence, their telephone number and their personal email address. We then use all these details to draw up two separate contracts, one for the skipper and the other for the boat hire, which you will need to sign to confirm the booking. To avoid wasting time, the documents will be sent to you in an email where you can sign the contracts electronically via a platform. Finally, we will send you a secure payment link to pay the amount due online. All online payments are made by credit card only. However, we do not accept AMEX cards, and there is a 2% bank charge. A deposit will also be required prior to the start of the rental, which will be returned to you at the end of the day if no damage or incident has occurred to the boat.
Step 4: Prepare yourself for an exceptional sailing experience
Once the contracts have been signed, and payment accepted, a confirmation email is sent to you summarising the request, giving you the captain’s contact details, the exact place to board, the day’s timetable, the chosen itinerary, any additional options ordered (seabobs, snacks, champagne) etc. All that’s left to do is wait for D-Day and enjoy the French Riviera on the boat. However, in the event of a last-minute oversight, we’ll be quick to react and try to find a solution to ensure that your request is completed on time.
